A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its office in Great Falls, MT. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of legal matters, including litigation and transactional work. Areas of focus will include insurance defense, probate, farm disputes, land partitions, family law, guardianships, conservatorships, real estate, estate planning, contracts, and general business law. Duties:

  • Handle litigation matters such as insurance defense, probate, farm disputes, and family law.
  • Engage in transactional work, including real estate, contracts, estate planning, and business law.
  • Provide legal counsel and representation for guardianships, conservatorships, and land partition disputes.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and manage case files from inception to resolution.
  • Collaborate with attorneys from different offices to assist with cases across practice areas.
  • Communicate with clients to provide updates and legal guidance, ensuring high-quality client service.

Requirements:

  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a detail-oriented approach to managing casework.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Prior legal experience in relevant practice areas is preferred but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member in good standing with the Montana Bar, or the ability to become a member.
