Job Overview: A reputable law firm, based in Cambridge, Ohio, is seeking a talented and entrepreneurial Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team. Duties:
Represent clients in a specific geographical area or practice area, with the support of a dedicated team.
Develop and maintain matter budgets, including projecting fees and expenses for client matters.
Communicate financial expectations clearly to clients, ensuring retained funds cover the projected time for each matter.
For litigators: Attend hearings, trials, and client conferences, advocating effectively in court.
Oversee and manage legal matters in coordination with a paralegal team, ensuring thorough documentation and execution.
Pursue favorable outcomes for clients through settlement, mediation, negotiation, and litigation.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary professionals, such as CPAs, mental health experts, and social workers, to further client matters.
Engage in strategic business development activities, including networking, marketing, and community involvement to expand the firm’s practice.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to the Ohio Bar (Required).
A minimum of 3-5 years of litigation experience.
Proven ability to build and grow a network and client base.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
Tech-savvy, with proficiency in case management systems and remote collaboration tools.
Occasional travel for hearings and trials may be required.
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active membership in the Ohio Bar.
Certifications:
Admission to the Ohio Bar (Required).
