Job Overview
A reputable and expanding immigration law firm based in Las Vegas is seeking an experienced Associate Immigration Attorney to join its legal team. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 3–5 years of immigration law experience who is passionate about client advocacy and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The position involves direct client interaction, courtroom representation, and the preparation of a wide range of immigration applications, with the support of a skilled team of attorneys and legal assistants.

Duties

  • Represent both detained and non-detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals

  • Prepare clients and witnesses for court testimony and USCIS interviews

  • Manage a full caseload of immigration matters, including family-based petitions and humanitarian relief

  • Draft and submit legal briefs and supporting documentation

  • Conduct client intakes, including visits to detention centers

  • Review and revise immigration applications prepared by staff

  • Provide legal analysis and strategic planning in immigration matters

  • Meet with potential clients for consultations and determine appropriate legal pathways

  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutors, and community-based organizations on immigration-related issues and developments

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience practicing immigration law

  • Strong understanding of removal defense, family-based petitions, and USCIS processes

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume caseload

  • Experience representing clients in immigration court and before USCIS

  • Comfortable interacting with detained individuals and navigating related legal systems

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team structure

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Skills

  • Excellent legal writing and research capabilities

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Case strategy development and execution

  • Experience with EOIR, detained cases, and various USCIS applications

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required

  • Familiarity with case management software (preferred)
