Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and draft various agreements, including mergers and acquisitions, real estate purchase transactions, commercial leases, and compliance-related documents.
  • Advise clients on essential business matters, providing clear and actionable legal counsel.
  • Independently manage and resolve client issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to address complex legal matters and develop strategic solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations to provide accurate and informed advice.
  • Handle transactions and legal processes with high attention to detail and thoroughness.
  • Actively participate in firm activities, including training programs and mentoring initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a corporate attorney.
  • Proven experience as the first or second chair on mergers and acquisitions, real estate purchase transactions, and/or commercial leases.
  • Familiarity with ERISA, employee benefits, or tax planning matters is a plus.
