A law firm based in Houston, TX, is seeking a Mid-to-Senior level Corporate Healthcare Transactional Associate Attorney to provide strategic advice to dynamic healthcare clients nationwide. The role will involve handling various phases of transactional businesses, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, asset and equity acquisitions, venture capital and private equity investments, and joint venture transactions. Additionally, the attorney will support clients in corporate and organizational workflows, including formations, capital raises, operational strategy, contract negotiations, and daily corporate matters.

 

Duties:

  • Advise healthcare clients on strategic transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, asset and equity acquisition transactions.
  • Manage venture capital and private equity investments within the healthcare industry.
  • Oversee joint venture transactions and related agreements.
  • Assist clients with corporate and organizational workflow, including formations, capital raises, and operational strategy.
  • Conduct contract negotiations and handle day-to-day corporate matters.
  • Communicate directly with clients and third-party advisors regularly.
  • Take ownership of projects and collaborate effectively within a team environment.

 

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in mergers & acquisitions and/or private equity within the healthcare sector.
  • Admission to the Bar in Texas (must be admitted to practice law in the state).
  • Outstanding academic credentials from an accredited law school.
  • Excellent oral communication, writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and manage projects independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and third-party advisors.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in Texas.

 

Skills:

  • Expertise in strategic transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity investments in healthcare.
  • Comprehensive understanding of corporate and organizational workflows.
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience in complex contract negotiations.
