The attorney will be responsible for managing multiple cases, overseeing regulatory and compliance matters, and serving as the primary contact for litigation and client counseling.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and litigate cases related to managed care and health care.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing legal advice and coordination.
  • Handle and oversee regulatory and compliance matters, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed legal documents and pleadings.
  • Develop and implement litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
  • Represent clients in court, arbitration proceedings, and settlement negotiations.
  • Provide significant case management and client counseling.
  • Coordinate with other associates and staff to ensure effective case management and client service.
  • Stay current on changes in relevant laws and regulations affecting managed care and health care.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing of the California State Bar.
  • 2-3 years of law firm or relevant in-house experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration.
  • Experience with managed care or health care issues is required.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple cases and manage regulatory or compliance matters.
  • Strong skills in client counseling and case management.
