Senior Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a seasoned and skilled Senior Litigation Associate to join its San Antonio office. This position is ideal for an attorney with at least 5 years of experience in litigation, including a strong background in handling high-profile and complex cases. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and supporting various aspects of litigation, including discovery, witness interviews, and court appearances. Candidates with experience in federal courts, construction litigation, or energy disputes are highly encouraged to apply.

Duties

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including pre-trial preparation, discovery, trial, and post-trial activities.
• Draft and file legal motions, pleadings, and discovery documents.
• Conduct witness interviews, and depositions, and prepare for courtroom appearances.
• Manage a caseload of complex, high-profile cases, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategies and participate in client consultations.
• Maintain excellent communication with clients, keeping them informed of case progress and legal developments.
• Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution procedures where applicable.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on complex commercial or construction-related disputes.
• Experience handling cases in federal court is preferred.
• Strong writing, analytical, and research skills, with an ability to draft clear, persuasive legal documents.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage a diverse caseload, and maintain a high level of client service.
• Must be licensed to practice law in Texas.
• Familiarity with energy sector litigation or other highly technical industries is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Texas State Bar is required.
