Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm located in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney with a strong background in insurance coverage and commercial litigation. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team that handles complex and high-stakes insurance and reinsurance matters. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of insurance coverage issues, particularly under professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers policies. You will engage in a wide range of legal work, from drafting pleadings to handling discovery motions and depositions, all while managing cases and clients independently.

Duties:

• Draft and prepare pleadings, dispositive motions, and discovery-related documents.
• Handle all aspects of discovery and discovery motion practice.
• Conduct depositions and represent clients in court appearances.
• Manage caseloads independently, including client communication and business development.
• Provide legal advice and guidance on complex insurance coverage and reinsurance issues.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and team members on high-exposure cases.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
• In-depth knowledge of insurance coverage, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers policies.
• Proven ability to handle a variety of litigation tasks, from drafting to court appearances.
• Demonstrated experience managing cases independently and working with clients directly.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in the state of California.
