Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on environmental and land use matters
• Conduct thorough research and analysis of environmental regulations and laws
• Prepare clear and effective legal documents, including briefs, memos, and reports
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to offer strategic legal solutions
• Participate in client meetings and provide updates on case developments
• Review and assess land use and zoning regulations for compliance
• Advocate for clients in regulatory and administrative hearings as needed (litigation experience is a plus, but not required)

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in environmental or land use law
• Admission to the New York State Bar
• Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• New York State Bar License (Required)
