Duties:

  • Consult with potential new clients
  • Devise legal strategies tailored to client needs
  • Draft, finalize, and customize pleadings, discovery, and other legal documents
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with opposing counsel, court personnel, and others while advocating for clients
  • Attend pre-trial hearings as assigned by the managing attorney
  • Generate leads through networking

Requirements:

  • 0-3 years of experience as a family law attorney
  • Active member of the State Bar of Texas in good standing
  • Operates with integrity and adheres to the Texas Lawyer’s Creed
  • Strong reading, writing, editing, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Independent and goal-driven
  • Demonstrates compassion and empathy towards clients and coworkers
  • Advocates for clients and focuses on practical and expeditious settlements
  • Eager to learn and sharpen advocacy skills
  • Bilingual

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Coursework in family law and mediation

Certifications:

  • Active member of the State Bar of Texas in good standing
