A law firm seeks a talented and driven Life Sciences Transactions Associate for its Philadelphia, PA office. This full-time position focuses on corporate transactional work with a specialized emphasis on the life sciences sector. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in corporate transactions, with specific expertise in drafting and negotiating contracts such as license agreements, collaboration agreements, and supply agreements for companies in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industries. This role involves working closely with biotech and pharmaceutical clients on strategic licensing and other complex transactions.

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate various transactional agreements, including licensing, collaboration, and supply agreements.
  • Advise clients, particularly those in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device sectors, on strategic licensing and business development agreements.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure legal and strategic alignment in all transactional matters.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to support the development of contract terms and deal structures.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality legal services.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail while ensuring timely and efficient execution of contracts.
  • Manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of corporate transactional experience, particularly in the life sciences sector.
  • Strong background in drafting and negotiating life sciences-related agreements, such as license, collaboration, and supply agreements.
  • Experience working with biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device companies on transactional and licensing matters.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong business judgment and attention to detail.
  • Proven communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
