General Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a highly skilled General Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will handle various litigation matters, attend legal proceedings, conduct research, and contribute to the firm's growth through client interactions and marketing initiatives.

Job Duties:

• Attend mediations, trials, hearings, and other legal proceedings as assigned.
• Conducted comprehensive legal research and drafted various legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, affidavits, discovery, proposed orders, correspondence, memoranda, and opinion letters.
• Take and defend depositions effectively.
• Participate in marketing initiatives and contribute to firm publications.
• Write articles and deliver presentations to clients, trade associations, and ICLE.
• Travel on an as-needed basis.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree and Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Member of the Georgia Bar with active licensing and continuing legal education compliance.
• Alabama Bar membership is a plus.
• 5 years of litigation experience, with foreclosure experience being advantageous.
• Experience in title matters preferred.
• Proficiency in the rules of evidence, introducing evidence, and civil procedure in state and federal courts.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with legal research tools such as Fastcase or Westlaw.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
