Associate Attorney with 0-3 years of experience in bankruptcy/collection or civil law litigation

A law firm in Winston Salem, NC, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 0-3 years of experience in bankruptcy/collection or civil law litigation. The candidate will manage all legal processes from inception through post-judgment remedies and provide the highest quality legal representation in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Duties:

• Manage all legal processes from inception through post-judgment remedies.
• Provide high-quality legal representation and treat all customers with fairness and respect.
• Handle a high-volume caseload and provide expert analysis and advice on legal and regulatory risks.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel to achieve final resolution of cases.
• Travel to various courts within the state of North Carolina, if needed, to attend court hearings and legal proceedings.
• Work with the Managing Attorney to report all activity and results.
• Conduct legal research, write legal documents, and present oral arguments effectively.
• Analyze case law and provide recommendations.
• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for legal documentation and communication.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in North Carolina.
• 0-3 years of experience in bankruptcy/collection or civil law litigation.
• License to practice law in other states in the firm's footprint or UBE passage is a plus.
