The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of litigation experience, particularly in construction-related disputes, and will be involved in all aspects of litigation, including legal research, drafting, discovery, trial preparation, and client communication. Duties

  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
  • Assist with trial preparation and strategy development
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and strategic advice
  • Attend and represent clients at court hearings and depositions
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation matters
  • Participate in case strategy and negotiation discussions

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent legal qualification
  • 2-3 years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on construction and complex litigation
  • Admission to the South Carolina State Bar is preferred, or eligibility to apply
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

  • Admission to the South Carolina State Bar (preferred)
