Job Overview: A distinguished law firm is seeking a mid-level Commercial Contracts Associate to join its Business Group. This role involves providing high-quality legal support to clients in various industries, with a primary focus on drafting, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts in the consumer goods and products sectors. Location:

Duties:

  • Draft, negotiate, and review various commercial contracts, including:
    • Manufacturing Agreements
    • Distribution Agreements
    • Sales Broker Agreements
    • Raw Material Supply Agreements
    • Packaging Supply Agreements
    • Equipment Leases
    • Equipment Purchase Agreements
    • Product Purchase and Sale/Supply Agreements
  • Collaborate effectively with attorneys across multiple office locations to support client needs
  • Engage in direct client consultations, offering tailored legal support across diverse sectors
  • Participate actively in pro bono and public service projects
  • Support the firm’s diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and contribute to related firm goals

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in commercial contracts law, including drafting, negotiating, and reviewing
  • In-depth understanding of contract law and risk management principles
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams
  • Strong client-service orientation with excellent communication skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in one of the specified locations (Seattle, Spokane, Portland, New York, or Washington, D.C.)
