The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patent preparation and prosecution, patent licensing, patentability and clearance opinions, portfolio management, and conducting due diligence. Duties:

  • Prepare and prosecute patent applications, including drafting and filing applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Conduct patentability assessments and provide clearance opinions to clients.
  • Manage patent portfolios, including overseeing maintenance and renewal of patents.
  • Negotiate and draft patent licensing agreements and other related contracts.
  • Perform due diligence for patent transactions and other intellectual property-related matters.
  • Analyze and interpret patent laws and regulations to advise clients on strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with clients, inventors, and other attorneys to develop and implement patent strategies.
  • Represent clients before the USPTO and other relevant authorities.
  • Stay current with developments in patent law and technology trends to provide informed legal advice.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in patent prosecution and intellectual property law.
  • Superior analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Licensed to practice before the USPTO.

Education:
