Job Title: Senior Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A distinguished law firm in Corpus Christi, TX, seeks an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney to manage complex commercial litigation cases. The attorney will lead the legal process from investigation to trial, handling high-stakes cases and guiding a dedicated team of legal professionals. This on-site role requires expertise in litigation, client interactions, and strategic case management.

Duties:

  • Act as lead attorney, overseeing all aspects of commercial litigation and supervising litigation teams in complex cases.
  • Manage litigation cases from investigation through discovery, trial preparation, and trial or final hearing.
  • Conduct depositions, and attend oral arguments, hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Draft, review, and optimize the use of video, documentary, and physical evidence.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive legal strategies after in-depth legal research.
  • Negotiate settlements, draft pleadings, and review contracts or agreements related to litigation matters.
  • Collaborate closely with senior attorneys to refine and develop case strategies.
  • Track and submit billable hours accurately and promptly.
  • Prepare detailed case reports and summaries for client and court reference.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar.
  • First-chair trial or final hearing experience in multiple trials and/or arbitrations.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize independently.
  • 5-7 years of experience.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Texas Bar License (required).

Skills:

  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in legal research, writing, and drafting documents relevant to litigation.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling complex legal cases with independence and confidence.
