Job Overview

A well-established law firm in Seattle, WA is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Immigration Associate Attorney to join its dynamic legal team. This role involves handling a variety of immigration matters, providing strategic legal counsel, and collaborating with clients and legal professionals to ensure successful case outcomes.

Duties

  • Manage employment-based nonimmigrant visa matters, including H, L, E, O, P, and TN visas.
  • Oversee family and employment-based immigrant visa cases such as EB-2/EB-3 PERM, EB-1 multinational manager/executive, outstanding researcher, extraordinary ability, and National Interest Waivers.
  • Draft and develop complex legal filings, including responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs).
  • Conduct legal research, analyze regulations, and apply immigration laws and procedures to casework.
  • Communicate with clients regarding case preparation, processing, and strategy.
  • Supervise paralegals and legal assistants to ensure accuracy and efficiency in case management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an immigration attorney handling employment and/or family-based matters preferred.
  • Experience in removal defense, federal court litigation, or analyzing immigration consequences of criminal convictions is a plus.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capacity to identify legal issues, analyze case facts, and develop strategic solutions.
  • Interest in immigration policy developments and regulatory changes.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a legal team.
  • Proficiency with legal technology, case management systems, and immigration-related tools.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with a State Bar.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
