Innovation and Technology Solutions Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Innovation and Technology Solutions Attorney to join its Technology & Information Services team. This attorney will serve as a vital link between the firm’s legal professionals, clients, and technology departments. The role focuses on ensuring that the firm's technology systems, tools, and services meet the evolving needs of the attorneys and clients. This includes working closely with practice group leadership and other supporting teams to enhance technical strategies and improve workflow efficiency through technology.

Duties:

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and innovative offerings, both legal and non-legal, to ensure the firm’s technology platform remains state-of-the-art.

• Provide updates and analysis of new technologies and industry trends to firm management and practice group leadership.

• Identify opportunities to integrate existing and new technologies into specific practices, and coordinate pilot and proof of concept programs.

• Evaluate software tools and products, create specifications, and test new products and services.

• Collaborate with Technology & Information Services Department leadership to recommend strategic deployment of efficient processes and technology solutions.

• Maintain relationships with third-party vendors to stay informed about new and existing products and services.

• Ensure protection and confidentiality of sensitive, privileged, and proprietary information.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a practicing attorney or in a legal operations role, preferably with litigation experience.

• Understanding of product development and management, including user personas, requirements documentation, and roadmap planning.

• Proficiency in enterprise applications such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.

• Knowledge of LegalTech product categories and how they integrate into legal practices.

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent degree.

Certifications:

• Admission to the relevant state bar.

Skills:

• Strong project management and organizational skills.

• Ability to evaluate, deploy, and integrate technology solutions in a legal environment.

• Ability to manage vendor relationships and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.

• Strong understanding of product management, UI/UX concepts, and user testing.
