Job Title: EOIR Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Associate Immigration Attorney to join their Immigration Law team. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for professional growth and exposure to a diverse range of immigration law cases. As an integral member of the legal team, the successful candidate will manage their caseload, work directly with clients, and collaborate with experienced immigration professionals.

Duties:

  • Provide strategic advice and solutions for various immigration matters
  • Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals, both for detained and non-detained individuals
  • Conduct client consultations, analyze cases, and develop effective immigration strategies
  • Manage a diverse caseload with a focus on timely and efficient legal representation
  • Visit detained individuals at detention centers and conduct intake interviews
  • Prepare and file immigration applications, including family-based petitions, removal defense, and humanitarian applications
  • Review and revise immigration applications to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Work with law enforcement, community-based organizations, and prosecutorial offices to stay updated on immigration law changes
  • Develop and prepare clients for court appearances and USCIS testimony
  • Draft legal briefs and provide detailed legal analysis for a variety of immigration cases

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Immigration Law
  • Proven track record of managing and progressing immigration cases
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of attorneys and legal assistants
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters in a clear and concise manner
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Proficiency in immigration case management software is a plus

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the State Bar

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Texas

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage a high caseload efficiently
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on client relations
