Job Overview:

A prestigious law firm based in Providence, RI, is seeking a highly skilled and driven Litigation Associate Attorney to join their legal team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of hands-on litigation experience and be licensed to practice law in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Additional licensure in Connecticut is a plus.

Duties:

• Represent clients in a variety of complex litigation matters, including pre-trial preparation, motions, depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Manage a caseload efficiently, ensuring all deadlines and legal requirements are met.
• Provide expert legal counsel to clients on matters related to litigation, strategy, and case progression.
• Draft and review legal documents such as complaints, motions, and discovery requests.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal teams to ensure case strategies are executed effectively.
• Negotiate settlements and provide alternative dispute resolution when applicable.
• Maintain communication with clients to provide case updates and manage expectations.
• Stay current on legal trends, case law, and procedural changes to maintain a high standard of legal expertise.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of litigation experience, with a proven track record in legal research, case management, and courtroom representation.
• Licensed to practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts; Connecticut licensure is preferred.
• Prior experience in insurance defense is encouraged.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle complex legal matters independently.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with attorneys and support staff.
• Dedication to providing high-quality legal services with a client-focused approach.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Connecticut licensure is a plus.
