Duties:

  • Represent clients in family law litigation, including divorce, custody, support, and restraining order cases.

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.

  • Appear in court for hearings, trials, and settlement conferences.

  • Provide strategic legal counsel to clients, guiding them through the litigation process.

  • Work collaboratively with support staff and fellow attorneys to ensure optimal case outcomes.

  • Engage in negotiation and mediation to resolve disputes when possible.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

  • Licensed to practice law in New York.

  • Minimum of 6 months of litigation experience, preferably in family law.

  • Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
