Job Overview:

Duties:

• Analyze patent and scientific papers and documents to assist patent attorneys with patent prosecution, counseling, and litigation.
• Draft patent applications and responses to office actions.

Requirements:

• 1 year of law firm experience.
• Substantive industry experience in chemical engineering, material science, mechanical engineering, or biomedical engineering.
• Exceptional technical, written, and verbal communication skills in English.
• Broad scientific knowledge in mechanical or biomedical engineering.

Education:

• Degree in material, chemical, mechanical, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
• An advanced degree is a plus.

Certifications:

• Must be a registered US patent agent or eligible to sit for the USPTO registration exam.
