A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join its team in Irvine, California. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work in the areas of probate, trusts, and estate planning law. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of legal experience, with a strong interest in trust litigation, estate planning, and probate matters. Duties

  • Provide legal assistance in probate, estate planning, and trust administration matters.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.
  • Draft legal documents such as wills, trusts, and probate petitions.
  • Appear in court for hearings, including probate-related matters, in various counties including Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino.
  • Conduct legal research on issues related to probate, trusts, and estates.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys in case strategy and client representation.
  • Manage caseload, ensuring timely progress of cases and adherence to deadlines.
  • Assist with client intake and maintain professional client relationships.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of legal experience, ideally in probate, estate planning, and trust administration, but all candidates with relevant experience will be considered.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of California, with no record of discipline from the State Bar.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented work ethic.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel to various courthouses for court appearances (primarily within Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties).

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
