Duties:

  • Provide expert legal advice on various private credit transactions, including cash flow deals, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations.
  • Assist clients with structuring, negotiating, and documenting financing arrangements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transaction execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence and risk assessments for financing transactions.
  • Stay updated on market trends and developments in private credit to better serve clients.
  • Mentor junior associates and contribute to the firm's knowledge base through training and workshops.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in private credit or finance matters at a nationally recognized law firm or equivalent legal environment.
  • Proven experience in lending transactions, with borrower-side exposure being advantageous.
  • Strong familiarity with various financing structures, including asset-based financings, restructurings, and workouts.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and persuasively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • An active member in good standing of DC Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
