Family Law Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced Family Law Associate Attorney to join its Fort Worth office. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in Texas family law, and possess a strong understanding of the Texas Family Code. This position offers significant client interaction and provides the opportunity for mentorship and professional development in a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload and working closely with the team to deliver excellent client service.

Location:

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of family law cases, ensuring timely and efficient progress.
• Represent clients in court hearings and other legal proceedings.
• Provide legal counsel on matters related to divorce, child custody, property division, and other family law issues.
• Negotiate settlements and handle mediation for family law disputes.
• Draft legal documents, including petitions, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with colleagues and mentors for case strategy and professional development.
• Stay updated on changes in family law and Texas legislation.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed to practice law in Texas.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Texas family law.
• Experience handling family law cases, including divorce, custody, and property division.
• Strong courtroom experience and negotiation skills.
• Solid knowledge of the Texas Family Code and Texas Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Ability to manage and prioritize a busy caseload.
• Creative problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented approach.
• Strong attention to detail and superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.
