Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Sacramento is seeking a dedicated and motivated Employment Single Action Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team. The firm focuses on securing the best outcomes in employment litigation matters, specializing in workplace retaliation, harassment, unpaid wages, leaves of absence, and wrongful termination cases. The ideal candidate will work on high-stakes litigation and play a key role in achieving substantial settlements and verdicts.

Duties:

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents essential for case progression.
  • Formulate strategic plans for case resolution in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Lead depositions and conduct “meet and confers” with opposing counsel.
  • Manage ADR mediations and conduct negotiations to resolve disputes.
  • Represent clients in employment-related matters, developing persuasive arguments in support of their cases.

Requirements:

  • Active membership with the California State Bar in good standing.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience focused on employment litigation.
  • Strong analytical and legal research capabilities.
  • A creative and strategic approach to legal challenges.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in typing at least 40 words per minute.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of California.

Skills:

  • Advanced legal writing and communication abilities.
  • Deep understanding of employment law and litigation procedures.
  • Skilled in negotiation, mediation, and trial preparation.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
