A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its Workers' Compensation Defense team in Tallahassee. As an Associate, you will manage a caseload while collaborating closely with a senior Partner to develop litigation strategies and provide exceptional service to clients. Duties:

  • Handle a diverse range of Workers' Compensation defense cases, including case evaluation, strategy, and management.

  • Review and analyze medical records to support case development and strengthen legal arguments.
  • Draft clear, concise, and well-supported legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, ensuring their needs are consistently met and expectations are managed.
  • Independently manage workload and prioritize tasks effectively in a remote work environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Workers' Compensation defense.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in reviewing medical records and drafting legal documents.
  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Florida Bar is in good standing.
  • Proven ability to manage cases and work independently in a virtual or remote setting.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience working in remote or virtual legal environments.
  • Comfort with legal technology, including virtual court processes and case management systems.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
