A law firm seeks a Real Estate Closing Attorney to join a well-established team in the Summerville, South Carolina area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in overseeing residential and commercial real estate transactions, with experience working alongside clients, lenders, brokers, and agents. Duties:

  • Manage residential and commercial real estate transactions, including sales, refinances, and closings
  • Review title documentation and address any issues that arise during the process
  • Collaborate with lenders, brokers, agents, buyers, and sellers to facilitate successful transactions
  • Draft and review essential legal documents such as contracts, deeds, leases, and purchase and sale agreements
  • Provide professional and engaging experiences for clients, addressing their questions and concerns with clarity
  • Review disbursement ledgers and authorize the release of funds as necessary
  • Develop and cultivate business relationships to contribute to the firm’s growth
  • Conduct training and provide legal education to potential clients in relevant areas of real estate law

Requirements:

  • Experience in residential real estate transactions preferred; willing to train the right candidate
  • Active membership in the South Carolina State Bar (in good standing)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to engage in community involvement and achieve results
  • Growth-oriented with a focus on residential real estate
  • Proven work ethic, with a history of academic and professional success

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Current South Carolina State Bar membership in good standing

  • Strong ability to draft, review, and negotiate legal documents
  • High attention to detail, particularly in reviewing title documents and financial ledgers
