Capital Markets / Structured Finance Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A prominent law firm is seeking a seasoned Capital Markets / Structured Finance Associate Attorney. The role involves working on complex transactional matters within the Capital Markets practice, focusing on structured finance, asset-backed lending, and securitization. Location:

Duties:

• Handle complex transactions involving:
  • Repo transactions
  • Asset-backed lending
  • Loan-on-loan arrangements
  • Securitization and structured finance
  • Structured products and corporate transactions
  • Real estate finance and commercial real estate collateralized loan obligations (CRE CLO)
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to structure, draft, and negotiate financial agreements.
• Provide expert advice and legal solutions in structured finance and capital markets.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in:
  • Capital markets and structured finance transactions
  • Asset-backed lending, loan-on-loan, and securitization
  • Corporate and real estate finance
• Strong academic credentials.
• Prior experience in a reputable law firm setting.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in the state of North Carolina or eligibility to waive into the jurisdiction.

Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of capital markets, structured finance, and asset-backed lending.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic legal environment.
