Senior Business Litigation Attorney

Duties:

• Represent clients in trials, mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery documents.
• Prepare cases for trial, mediations, and arbitrations, ensuring strategic and effective representation.
• Provide clear and compelling arguments in court, confidently presenting motions and advocating for clients.
• Stay informed of changes in local, state, and federal laws and apply up-to-date legal strategies.
• Manage a diverse caseload from start to resolution, overseeing all stages of litigation.
• Mentor junior associates, providing guidance and oversight in handling legal tasks.
• Negotiate settlements with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
• Collaborate with clients, financial experts, and other attorneys to drive case progress.
• Maintain accurate case records in the firm's Case Management System (CMS), ensuring proper billing and documentation.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in business litigation, with proven success as a senior associate or equivalent role.
• Extensive trial, mediation, and arbitration experience.
• Ability to manage a heavy caseload independently.
• Strong legal research, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience mentoring and guiding junior attorneys.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active and in-good-standing member of the California Bar Association.
