Family Law Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm in Cape Coral, FL, is seeking a dedicated Family Law Attorney with the opportunity to work on a diverse range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and domestic violence cases. The ideal candidate will manage a caseload, conduct legal research, draft pleadings and motions, represent clients in court, and provide compassionate counsel throughout their legal journey.

Job Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters.
• Conduct thorough legal research on relevant family law issues.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings and trials.
• Provide compassionate and empathetic counsel to clients.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies.
• Maintain client confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Stay updated on changes and developments in family law.
• Participate in mediation and alternative dispute resolution processes.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Family Law.
• Active license to practice law in the state of Florida.
• Deep understanding of family law and related legal procedures.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.
• Strong litigation and courtroom experience.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida Bar.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.
