The Associate Immigration Attorney will work under the guidance of senior attorneys and will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload while representing clients in various immigration proceedings.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and strategic guidance to clients on immigration matters.
• Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Handle both detained and non-detained immigration cases.
• Conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at detention centers.
• Prepare and file a variety of immigration applications, including family-based petitions and removal defense.
• Review immigration applications and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
• Liaise with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations regarding immigration law updates.
• Advise potential clients during strategic consultations and determine the best course of action.
• Develop case strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court or USCIS testimony.
• Analyze client cases and identify potential legal benefits.
• Prepare and submit legal briefs in support of various immigration matters.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-4 years of experience in Immigration Law.
• Proven ability to manage and advance multiple legal cases simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support colleagues in case strategy.
• Preferred bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian relief, EOIR, detained cases, citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
• Familiarity with case management software is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in the state of California.
