Duties

• Manage general liability defense and coverage cases from inception to resolution
• Conduct depositions, including taking and defending witness and expert depositions
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Attend mediations, case management conferences, and court hearings
• Develop and implement legal strategies tailored to client needs
• Maintain consistent communication with clients and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and ethical guidelines

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in New Jersey state and federal courts
• Litigation experience in trucking, premises, construction, and professional liability defense
• Proven ability to handle cases independently, including depositions, discovery, and motion practice
• Strong legal research and analytical skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and multitask efficiently
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active member in good standing of the New Jersey Bar
