Job Overview: A law firm, located in Short Hills, NJ, is seeking an experienced Securities Attorney to join its Investment Funds Group. This position is on a professional track, and is ideal for an individual with 6+ years of experience in securities law, particularly in the areas of structured securities offerings, commercial real estate law, and real estate finance. The role involves working on a range of complex transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and restructurings. Duties:

  • Lead and manage structured securities offerings and transactions.
  • Represent public and private real estate companies, REITs, and financial investors in complex real estate transactions.
  • Advise clients on acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and development of commercial real estate projects.
  • Draft and review transactional documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to identify and resolve legal issues.
  • Provide strategic advice and legal counsel to clients on various matters.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and manage client expectations.
  • Demonstrate excellence in written and verbal communication with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Work independently while also effectively participating in team-based projects and tasks.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience managing structured securities offerings.
  • Experience in commercial real estate law, particularly in real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions.
  • Strong background in advising on complex real estate transactions.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced and high-pressure work environment.
  • Exceptional analytical, writing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in New Jersey (NJ).
