Duties

• Draft and prosecute patents in the field of life sciences, with a focus on immunology and biologics.
• Conduct thorough research and analysis to support patent applications.
• Advise on patentability, freedom-to-operate, and other patent-related issues.
• Collaborate with attorneys and clients on complex patent strategies.
• Stay updated on developments in biochemistry, biologics, and related patent law areas.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing as a patent agent in life sciences patent prosecution.
• Expertise in biochemistry, including antibody technology, cell therapies, vaccines, and biologics.
• Strong analytic abilities and excellent academic credentials.

Education

• Ph.D. in immunology, biochemistry, or a related biochemical discipline. (M.S. with significant industry experience may be considered.)

Certifications

• Registration with the USPTO is strongly preferred, though technical specialists with relevant experience and eligibility to sit for the patent bar may be considered.
