A well-established law firm is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney with experience in family law litigation to join its team. This position offers an opportunity to represent clients in a range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and support cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for advocating for clients in complex family law matters.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and support cases.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, such as petitions, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Provide clients with legal advice and guidance throughout their cases.
  • Manage case files from inception through resolution, ensuring all deadlines and requirements are met.
  • Advocate for clients in court and at mediation sessions.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to update them on case progress and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in all aspects of case management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of trial experience in family law.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to maintaining professional integrity.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple cases effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member in good standing with the Connecticut Bar.
  • Admission to the Connecticut Bar is required.
