Job Overview: A well-established law firm is seeking a Global Mobility/International Immigration Associate Attorney to provide strategic and client-centric legal support for global (non-US) immigration matters. This role requires delivering high-quality legal advice, managing client accounts, and overseeing case managers in a fast-paced, global environment. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the Global Managing Partner and Practice Manager to ensure effective and efficient service delivery for international relocations.

Location:

  • Petoskey, Michigan

Duties:

  • Provide legal guidance to clients on global immigration matters, ensuring timely and strategic advice
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global immigration legal requirements and monitor changes affecting clients
  • Assist in client account management, including onboarding and ongoing supervision, and generate client reports to ensure excellent service delivery
  • Train, supervise, and mentor case managers and case assistants, reviewing their work and providing support
  • Monitor reports, dashboards, and case correspondence to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are being met
  • Prepare and deliver client presentations, including quarterly and annual reviews, as well as country-specific presentations
  • Oversee high-volume and rapid-turnover cases, ensuring accuracy and SLA compliance
  • Handle VIP or complex global immigration cases as needed
  • Collaborate with the Managing Partner to vet and engage new local advisors globally
  • Flex hours to accommodate client and destination country time zones as needed
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Valid membership in an applicable Bar association
  • 1-2 years of experience in global immigration law (non-US destinations); 3+ years preferred
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a track record of success
  • Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities independently
  • Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in the appropriate jurisdiction

Skills:

  • Expertise in global immigration law and international relocation processes
  • Strong client relationship management skills
  • Ability to lead and supervise case management teams
  • Proficiency in preparing client presentations and reports
  • Excellent time management and ability to work across global time zones
