A law firm seeks a skilled Probate Litigation Attorney to join its Nashville, TN office. This role involves representing clients in probate litigation matters, including drafting legal documents, attending hearings, and conducting trials. The ideal candidate is organized, and collaborative, and possesses excellent legal writing and interpersonal skills. Hybrid work options are available.

Duties:

  • Draft motions, orders, and legal memoranda for probate litigation cases
  • Prepare for and conduct depositions
  • Represent clients at judicial hearings primarily in Davidson County, with occasional travel within Tennessee
  • Handle trial preparation and conduct both bench and occasional jury trials
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing case updates and managing expectations

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Tennessee
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks with close attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Commitment to collaboration and team-oriented work
  • Familiarity with motion practice and probate procedures preferred but not mandatory
  • Basic computer skills; proficiency with Mac, Word, and Excel preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Tennessee Bar License
