The ideal candidate will provide expert legal representation in family law matters such as divorce, child custody, and domestic violence. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct consultations with potential clients to evaluate their legal needs and secure their representation.
  • Provide expert legal advice and counsel on various family law issues, including divorce, child custody, domestic violence, and property division.
  • Represent clients as the lead attorney (1st chair) in court proceedings, including mediations and depositions.
  • Prepare and draft essential legal documents such as pleadings, motions, agreements, and court orders.
  • Develop and implement effective case strategies aligned with clients' goals and best interests.
  • Negotiate settlements and manage disputes in both contested and uncontested family law cases.
  • Mentor and train junior attorneys and support staff, promoting their professional growth and development.
  • Stay informed about Colorado family law statutes and regulations to ensure accurate and effective case handling.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and empathetic support.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Colorado State Bar.
  • 0-3 years of experience in family law, focusing on divorce, child custody, and domestic violence cases.
  • Expertise in Colorado Family Law statutes (preferred).

Skills:

  • Proven ability to manage cases as the lead attorney, including handling court proceedings and negotiations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to client interactions.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
