A law firm in Greenville, NC, is seeking a newly licensed Associate Attorney with a strong foundation in various areas of law, including Civil Litigation, Family Law, Traffic, Criminal, Real Estate, and Estates. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, capable of managing a client caseload independently, and able to guide and conclude cases in a timely manner. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to work well with others and develop professional relationships with court personnel, are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee client caseloads across multiple legal areas, including Civil Litigation, Family Law, Traffic, Criminal, Real Estate, and Estates.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, interrogatories, discovery requests, and related filings.
  • Represent clients in depositions, mediations, and court hearings.
  • Conduct case research, legal analysis, and case strategy development.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with court personnel and other legal professionals.
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of cases through independent management and strategic case planning.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation, ensuring compliance with all legal and procedural requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear updates and guidance throughout the legal process.

Requirements

  • Newly licensed attorney in North Carolina, with pending or completed results of the NC Bar examination.
  • Strong background in Civil Litigation, Family Law, Traffic, Criminal, Real Estate, and Estates.
  • Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload independently and effectively.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and handling case-related tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others while being self-sufficient and proactive.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to handle various case loads efficiently.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Member of the North Carolina Bar and licensed to practice law in North Carolina (pending results).
