Job Overview

A prestigious law firm is seeking a mid-to-senior level associate with 3+ years of experience to join its Employment Group. This position involves providing employment counseling for cross-border and global employment matters. The ideal candidate will have international counseling experience and will frequently collaborate with offices across the firm's global network. Responsibilities include advising on employment aspects of corporate transactions, drafting and negotiating employment agreements, handling employee terminations, and providing guidance to emerging companies on all aspects of employment law. Flexibility and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.

Duties

  • Provide employment diligence and advice on employment-related matters in corporate transactions.
  • Draft and negotiate employment, retention, and related agreements.
  • Advise on reductions in force and employee terminations.
  • Draft restrictive covenants and provide counsel on employee mobility.
  • Offer advice and counsel to emerging companies regarding employment law.
  • Collaborate with offices across the firm's global employment practice.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of employment counseling experience (domestic and/or international).
  • Experience at an AmLaw 100 law firm is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from a nationally recognized law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice in the jurisdiction in which applying.
