A reputable law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking an experienced attorney with over 3 years of practice in insurance defense. This firm represents various prominent insurance companies in handling diverse claims, including motor vehicle, Labor Law, premises liability, and construction liability cases. The ideal candidate should possess strong writing skills, a background in insurance defense litigation, and familiarity with the specific reporting requirements of different insurance companies. Experience in trial or appellate proceedings is not required.

Duties:

• Manage a variety of insurance defense cases, including motor vehicle accidents, Labor Law, premises liability, and construction-related matters.

• Draft and file legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and discovery.

• Conduct depositions and participate in client interviews.

• Advise clients on case strategy, liability assessments, and valuation matters.

• Collaborate with internal team members for case management, including strategy discussions and reporting.

• Ensure compliance with specific insurance company reporting requirements and guidelines.

• Represent clients in hearings and procedural motions.

• Maintain clear and accurate case records and progress reports.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.

• Strong writing and legal research skills.

• Experience with depositions, drafting motions, and pleadings.

• Ability to handle complex legal matters independently.

• Familiarity with insurance defense reporting procedures.

• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and clients professionally and efficiently.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New York State.
