Job Overview:
A prestigious boutique immigration law practice is seeking an associate Immigration Attorney to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to engage in legal research and writing, as well as direct client interaction and appearances before the USCIS and EOIR Immigration Court. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in immigration law, a passion for the field, and a strong work ethic.

Location:

Duties:

  • Perform legal research and writing related to immigration law matters.
  • Represent clients before USCIS and EOIR Immigration Court.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, providing legal guidance and updates.
  • Prepare and file immigration applications, petitions, and other necessary documents.
  • Handle a variety of immigration cases, including family-based, employment-based, and deportation defense matters.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to provide comprehensive immigration services.

Requirements:

  • Admitted to the New Jersey State Bar.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in immigration law.
  • Strong legal writing and research skills.
  • Demonstrated interest and passion for practicing immigration law.
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred, but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in New Jersey.

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing and analytical skills.
  • Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in legal research and document preparation.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.
  • Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) is a plus.
