A law firm seeks a skilled Associate Attorney with 3 to 6 years of experience to join its Real Estate Department's Finance Group in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience representing lenders in various real estate financing transactions, including mortgage, mezzanine, and construction loans. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on high-profile deals while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Duties

  • Represent lenders in the negotiation and documentation of mortgage, mezzanine, and construction real estate loans.
  • Assist in the acquisition and disposition of real estate assets, providing comprehensive legal support throughout the transaction process.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including loan agreements, closing documents, and due diligence materials.
  • Conduct legal research and provide clients with strategic advice on financing and real estate matters.
  • Collaborate with clients and other attorneys to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain detailed records of transactions and communicate effectively with all stakeholders involved.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active admission to the D.C. Bar.
  • A minimum of 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in real estate finance or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of real estate transactions and financing structures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the D.C. Bar is required.
