A law firm in Denver is seeking a Mid- to Senior-level Tax Associate Attorney with significant experience in corporate, partnership, and individual income tax matters. The candidate should also have expertise in tax credit transactions and preferably experience in sophisticated tax controversy.

 

Duties:

  • Advise clients on a broad range of corporate, partnership, and individual income tax matters within transactional contexts.
  • Handle tax credit transactions and provide expertise in related tax matters.
  • Assist in sophisticated tax controversy matters as needed.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex tax issues.
  • Draft legal memoranda, opinions, and other documents.
  • Provide strategic tax planning advice to clients.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to anticipate and resolve tax-related issues.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.

 

Requirements:

  • Significant experience with a broad range of tax matters.
  • Experience with tax credit transactions is highly desirable.
  • Strong academic background and solid training in tax law.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • A proactive approach to issue resolution and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • LLM in Taxation is a plus.
  • Should have 5+ years of experince. 

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Colorado State Bar (required).

 

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research skills.
  • Strong verbal communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex tax issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with tax software and research tools.
