Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dedicated Employment Law Attorney to join its expanding legal team. This role involves advocating for employees in cases related to workplace discrimination, wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, and violations of medical leave policies. The ideal candidate will have experience handling employment law matters from pre-litigation through trial, including legal research, depositions, settlement negotiations, and court representation.

Duties

• Represent clients in employment law cases, including discrimination, wage disputes, and workplace harassment claims.

• Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda.

• Attend depositions, administrative hearings, and court proceedings.

• Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients in mediation and litigation.

• Provide legal counsel to clients on employment-related matters.

• Manage cases independently while collaborating with the legal team.

Requirements

• Active Florida law license.

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in employment law or general litigation with a strong interest in employment law.

• Federal court experience preferred.

• Strong research, analytical, and legal writing skills.

• Excellent verbal communication and advocacy skills.

• Ability to handle multiple cases while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Florida State Bar admission (Required).

Schedule

• Full-time position, Monday to Friday.

• 8-hour shifts with flexible start times: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, or 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
