Mid-level Employment Law Attorney

A law firm in San Jose, CA, seeks a Mid-level Employment Law Attorney with 5+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in counseling clients and litigating various employment law matters, including wage and hour cases, class actions, discrimination, and wrongful termination cases. Duties:

• Counsel clients on employment law matters, including wage and hour compliance, discrimination, and termination issues.
• Litigate wage and hour cases, class actions, and employment discrimination and wrongful termination matters in California state and federal courts.
• Respond to administrative charges and manage pre-litigation disputes.
• Prepare responsive pleadings, engage in motion practice, and respond to discovery requests.
• Assist with policy development, compliance training, and other employment law-related tasks.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar.
• 5+ years of experience in employment law.
• Proven track record of counseling clients and litigating employment law cases.
• Familiarity with wage laws, leave, compliance matters (FMLA, ADA, wage and hour), and policy development.
• Strong academic background with measurable results.
• Exceptional communication, analytical, and writing skills.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar.
