A law firm seeks a dedicated Immigration Attorney to join its growing team, specializing in consular processing. This position offers the opportunity to manage a variety of complex cases and collaborate with a team of skilled professionals. The ideal candidate will be eager to contribute to a collaborative work environment, gain valuable experience, and help clients navigate the intricacies of consular processing, waivers, and related immigration matters.

Duties

  • Manage consular processing (CP) and waiver cases, including I-130, I-601A, I-212, I-601, consular processing, and K-Visa applications.
  • Prepare clients for consulate interviews, ensuring they understand the process and requirements.
  • Represent clients before USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services) and other relevant authorities.
  • Review immigration applications and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with a team of legal assistants and paralegals to meet productivity goals and client expectations.
  • Provide legal analysis to determine potential benefits and strategies for client cases.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs and petitions for a variety of immigration matters.
  • Maintain a manageable caseload while delivering excellent client service and meeting deadlines.
  • Assist in mentoring and training junior team members when needed.

Requirements

  • 1 to 4 years of experience practicing immigration law, specifically consular processing and waivers.
  • Experience managing a caseload of immigration cases and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with immigration case management software is a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a client-focused approach.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to practice law in the state of Texas, in good standing.
