A law firm seeks a seasoned Franchise Of Counsel to provide strategic legal services in the Franchise & Distribution practice group. This role involves advising clients on franchise regulatory matters, complex transactions, and franchise compliance. Candidates can work from the Atlanta office or remotely.

Duties

  • Draft, review, and manage franchise agreements, franchise disclosure documents, and related regulatory filings.
  • Advise clients on U.S. franchise law, compliance issues, and complex business transactions.
  • Provide guidance on mergers, acquisitions, and international franchise development.
  • Counsel a range of clients, from emerging franchisors to established brands and private equity firms.
  • Collaborate with a team to deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to clients' business goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in transactional franchise law and regulatory compliance.
  • State Bar admission in Texas or eligibility for admission via waiver.
  • Demonstrated experience in franchise documentation, compliance, and advisory services.
  • Strong business-oriented analytical skills with a strategic approach to legal challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a collaborative team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Texas State Bar admission or eligibility for admission via waiver.

Skills

  • Expertise in drafting franchise agreements and franchise disclosure documents.
  • Strong organizational abilities and keen attention to detail.
